Asilomar offers a range of accommodations, including standard rooms, historic rooms, and suites. For groups, every effort is made to accommodate attendees just a short walk through forested dunes to the group's meeting room, and the dining hall is centrally located on the grounds. Most of our rooms are standard rooms but we do have a few historic rooms available. Alliance of Baptist attendees will be assigned rooms on a first come first serve basis.
Historic Rooms
Historic rooms are located in buildings that were designed by architect Julia Morgan and built between 1913 and 1928. Each hotel room features hardwood floors, rustic California furnishings and private baths, and their size and quantity of beds vary from one single bed to two double beds. All of the historic lodging buildings have a common living room, with a fireplace, for lounging and reading.
Standard Rooms
Some of the standard room types are located in buildings designed by architect John Carl Warnecke and built in a style complementary to that of Julia Morgan's. Standard rooms are more contemporary than the historic rooms and include a private bathroom and shower. Some also have a patio or balcony, and some feature a fireplace. Size and quantity of beds vary in rooms, but in most the common combinations are: two double beds; one double and one single bed; one queen and one single bed; or four single beds.
