A Pre-Convocation Retreat for Chaplains & Pastoral Counselors
April 28-29, 2011
As chaplains and pastoral counselors a majority of our lives are devoted to serving others. The Alliance Endorsing Committee invites you to take a day to focus on yourself and be with like-minded and like-hearted companions on this journey. We will spend time sharing about ourselves in a safe space. We will have some time for quiet, some time for play, all in a gently structured format. Whether or not you are endorsed by the Alliance, you are invited to participate.
 The retreat will begin at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 28, 2011 and go through lunch on Friday, April 29. Meeting space and lodging will be at Laws Lodge Conference Center on the campus of Louisville Theological Seminary. You are welcome to stay at Laws Lodge through the Convocation where there will be a shuttle to provide transportation to Crescent Hill Baptist church.
The cost of the gathering is only $25, plus the cost of food and lodging at Law's Lodge. Make your reservations by contacting:

Rooms are $64 + tax/night for a double bed. A limited supply of rollaway cots are available for an extra $10/night. The Alliance's room block will be released on January 27, 2011 and after that point, you can try Laws Lodge but there is certainly no guarantee that you'll get in or that they will give you the $64/night rate.
If you make reservations at Laws Lodge, you can cancel up to 3 days prior to arrival with no penalty. After that point, they will charge you one night's lodging if you cancel. Of course, when you call, tell them you are with the Alliance of Baptists to get the special rate.
