Endorsement
The Alliance of Baptists is an option for those Baptists seeking endorsement to support their specialized ministry of chaplaincy or pastoral counseling. If you are a member of the Alliance of Baptists and are preparing to serve as or are already serving as a chaplain or pastoral counselor, you might be interested in seeking endorsement from the Alliance of Baptists.
Since 1998, the Alliance has endorsed persons to chaplaincy in a variety of settings including healthcare, military, corrections, and long-term care as well as clinical pastoral education supervision and pastoral counseling. The Alliance also provides endorsement for membership in various professional organizations, such as the Association of Professional Chaplains, American Association of Pastoral Counselors, Association for Clinical Pastoral Education and College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy.
The Alliance endorsement process is open to persons of any age, race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.
Applications are accepted in the Alliance of Baptists office and are reviewed on a rotating basis by the Endorsing Committee according to the following deadlines: March 15, June 1, September 15, and December 1.
If you have questions or would like more information, contact Chris Copeland, Minister for Leadership & Congregational Life and the Alliances endorsing agent.
