FAQ Q: Is the Alliance of Baptists a denomination?
A:
Q: What kinds of retirement and health benefits are available to Alliance churches and individuals?
A: The Alliance makes income protection, retirement and health benefits available through partnership with The Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board (MMBB).These benefits support our ministries by increasing both peace of mind and financial security.
Benefits for Life, an employer-paid program, provides members with disability and death benefit protection during the working years then provides lifetime income during retirement. This protects members, families and churches against financial disaster before retirement and allows retirement options when the time comes.
The Tax-Deferred Annuity (TDA), also an employer-paid program, provides lifetime retirement income without the protection features of Benefits for Life. The Annuity Supplement (TAS) is a member-paid program. TAS accepts pre-tax member contributions through convenient payroll deductions, rollovers from traditional IRAs and other qualified retirement plans, and after-tax member contributions. Members can consolidate their assets and set aside money for the future.
Health insurance, available to contributing Benefits for Life or TDA members, covers a wide range of preventive and treatment services as described in plan materials. This helps members manage the high and rising cost of health care expenses.
