Sue Poss, a member of First Baptist Church in Greenville, SC; and Zelma Patillo, an individual member of the Alliance from New York City, represented the Alliance at the 2008 General Assembly of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the United States and Church World Service meeting in Denver, CO, Nov. 11-13. The Assembly adopted a resolution on immigration reform and approved a new constitution and standing rules that more clearly defines the relationship between the National Council and Church World Service.
