Sankofa is a group that connects and resources Black Baptist congregations and faith-affiliated organizations in partnership with the Alliance. Born from the vision of past Alliance Presidents Rev. Michael-Ray Mathews and Rev. Lisa Dunson, Sankofa exists to equip, resource, and support Black Baptist pastors and congregations through prayerful fellowship, strategy, and organizational collaboration. The group meets virtually, typically on the second Friday of every month at 1:00 p.m. Eastern. Black Baptist clergy and lay leaders interested in joining are encouraged to contact Rev. Alexis Tardy.

Please note: While the Alliance values the allyship of white colleagues, this gathering is intended specifically for those of African descent.

Endorsed Community Meeting

The Chaplain Soul Care Hour is a monthly gathering created to support Alliance-endorsed chaplain and educators through prayer, fellowship, and mutual encouragement. Organized by Alliance-endorsed Army Chaplain Don Fulton, the group provides a dedicated space for chaplains to connect with colleagues who understand the unique joys and challenges of their ministry.

The group meets virtually each month, typically on the last Friday of the month via Zoom, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern. Alliance-endorsed chaplains interested in participating are encouraged to contact Amy Canosa at amy@allianceofbaptists.org.
